We hired another campervan and drove around Ireland for a week. Along the way we discovered lots of old things, like castles, churches, abbeys and prisons. We drove the Ring of Kerry, saw the Cliffs of Moher and visited the oldest pub in Ireland.
Kilkenny Castle
A 12th-century Norman castle completed in 1260. It served as the home of the Butler family for nearly 600 years. Now a national heritage site. Impressive main hall and decorative working radiators.
Rock of Cashel

Killarney and the Ring of Kerry
Ross Castle
Muckross Abbey
A beautiful long walk in and out of Muckross Abbey, a well-preserved 15th-century Franciscan friary ruin. The "Jaunting Cars" do well, transporting people to and from the Abbey. We walked.
Kenmare Stone Circle and Hawthorn Fairy Tree.
A magical place. Visitors receive a card to write your wish to hang on the fairy tree.
Cliffs of Moher

Staigue Fort
Probably built early century AD before Christianity arrived in Ireland. Fort is 30m in diameter, the walls are 6m high and 4m thick built entirely without mortar. Top of walls reached by a series of steps criss crossing the internal walls. You can walk all around the top.
Roscommon and Athlone
Camped at a family run small caravan park that had its own castle ruins. Not sure how its still standing. Another castle in Roscommon. Athlone to visit the oldest pub in Ireland. Too many people inside for us, but the streets were delightful.

Stunning!
