We then travelled on to Prague capital city of the Czech Republic. Nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires,” it's known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colourful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show.
We crossed the pedestrian Charles Bridge. Built in the1400,s it's lined with statues of Catholic saints. Ending up at Prague Castle and St Vitus cathedral which was incredible from both the outside and inside. Apparently good King Wenceslas was here as we got a photo of his crown and sceptre.
Had the cutest candy shop made out to be a mine with trains towing carriages of all sorts of sweets and treats.
Some great Christmas markets in front of some incredible churches as well. It was all about the mulled wine, chimney cake and local produce.
Walking the streets there's so much to see, from Faberge eggs to babooshka dolls. Every corner you turn reveals another church or more spires. Not sure Mr G was that thrilled with the great on his beer. 🍺
